Disappointing WWE Rumor: The Rock Unlikely to Appear at WrestleMania 41

A recent WWE rumor suggests that The Rock will not be featured on the card for next year’s WrestleMania 41, leaving fans disappointed.

This year marked a significant chapter in The Rock’s legendary wrestling career. Over the past decade, his appearances in WWE have been sporadic, often separated by years. However, following his appointment to WWE’s new board late last year, the Hollywood icon began making more frequent appearances leading up to WrestleMania 40.

In a surprise return to in-ring action after a decade, The Rock teamed up with his cousin Roman Reigns for a tag-team victory on the first night of WrestleMania 40. Since then, he has made occasional appearances on WWE programming, fueling speculation about a potential marquee matchup at WrestleMania 41 against either Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns.

Despite these expectations, recent reports indicate that plans for The Rock to wrestle at the 2025 event have been shelved, dashing hopes for another major appearance by the iconic superstar.

Disheartening WWE News: The Rock Reportedly Absent from WrestleMania 41 Plans

“WWE is proceeding with creative plans under the assumption that The Rock will not be part of WrestleMania 41 — at least for now,” reported Dr. Chris Featherstone of Sportskeeda Wrestling this week. “However, I’ve been told these plans could ‘change at any moment.’ WWE is certainly interested in featuring him if he becomes available, but as of now, he’s not scheduled to compete.”

While this update may leave fans disappointed, it’s important to take the news with a grain of salt. The Rock’s involvement in WWE has always been subject to change based on his busy schedule. Just last year, he was rumored to headline WrestleMania 40 in a match against Roman Reigns, but those plans fell through. Similarly, he was expected to make an appearance at WrestleMania 39, though the booking never materialized.

If this report holds true, it’s a letdown for fans of the “Brahma Bull.” At 52, opportunities for The Rock to step back into the ring are becoming increasingly rare, making each potential return all the more significant.
