As speculation swirls about AEW stars potentially leaving in 2025, Lee Moriarty has made it clear—he’s not one of them. In an exclusive interview with Ringside Intel, Moriarty shared his unwavering loyalty to AEW, emphasizing his commitment to helping the company grow.
Content with His Role
Despite being part of both the AEW and ROH rosters, Moriarty isn’t fazed by spending more time in Ring of Honor. As the current ROH Pure Champion, the 30-year-old appreciates the opportunities he’s been given and values the collaborative nature of the business.
“I want to help AEW grow, just like they are helping me with my art,” Moriarty explained. “It’s about giving back and being selfless. AEW has become my home, and I want to see it flourish as much as I grow as a wrestler and an artist.”
Balancing Wrestling and Art
Moriarty’s loyalty to AEW goes beyond the ring. Known for his passion for art, he has ventured into painting in recent years. His artwork, which often features men in lucha masks depicted in everyday scenarios, will be showcased at Miami Art Week on December 7-8 at the NADA Miami booth.
AEW has supported his creative endeavors, giving him the freedom to explore his artistic vision. This partnership has only deepened his appreciation for the company.
“AEW gives us the creative freedom to express ourselves however we want,” Moriarty said. “That’s why you see ‘Taiga Style’—because it’s who I am. They’ve helped elevate not just my wrestling career but my artistic journey as well.”
A Supportive Environment
Moriarty credits AEW’s inclusive backstage culture for fostering his growth. With guidance from veterans like Jon Moxley, Orange Cassidy, Claudio Castagnoli, Nigel McGuinness, and Bryan Danielson, he feels empowered to develop both personally and professionally.
“In AEW, it’s not just about management helping you—it’s everyone,” Moriarty shared. “The wrestlers, the staff, the entire team are invested in helping each other succeed. I’m grateful for that support at every level.”
For Lee Moriarty, AEW isn’t just a stepping stone—it’s home. His dedication to the brand, combined with his passion for wrestling and art, exemplifies the culture AEW aims to cultivate: a place where talent thrives both inside and outside the ring.
